Adoptable Cats With Ringworm

This patient was diagnosed with ringworm and will need to be isolated from other animals through at
least 10/8. We have started treatment but they would benefit from treatment in a home away from the
stresses of the shelter environment; we recommend isolating in a place that is easily disinfected, like a
bathroom. Treatment includes daily oral medications and biweekly medicated baths for at least a 3 week
period. This condition is contagious to humans and other animals and care will have to be taken to
prevent transmission.
Additionally, this kitten is being treated for an infectious respiratory disease and needs to be isolated
from other cats while being treated.
