Tall, skinny, and wonderfully lanky, Zeus could use a few extra pounds to fill out his frame. His
striking ice-blue eyes and unique mix of breeds make him one handsome fellow. We can only
imagine how many hearts he stole in his younger days—but this older gentleman is just as
captivating.
Like many dogs adjusting to a big life change, Zeus is still getting his bearings at the shelter.
During his time outside, he was much more interested in exploring his surroundings than
seeking attention, happily sniffing his way around the yard and taking in all the new sights and
smells. If you come to meet him, give him the time and space he needs to settle in. Don't
expect him to shower you with affection right away—trust takes time, especially after such a
major transition. We have a feeling that once Zeus feels safe, he'll show just what a special
companion he can be.
Zeus appears to enjoy leisurely walks and would be happiest with a family that appreciates a
slower pace. Daily strolls, plenty of opportunities to sniff and explore, good meals, and lots of
love and TLC are all this sweet senior is asking for.
While outside, Zeus showed some interest in a calm dog walking along the perimeter of the

Jayco also discovered the kiddie pool during our time together and quickly decided it was the
perfect place to cool off. Before long, he was happily lounging in the water, looking much more
relaxed.
