These animals have a commitment date, meaning they are in critical need of placement due to severe
medical or behavioral challenges. Without intervention, they are at risk of humane euthanasia. While
there are times when an animal improves due to our interventions and the commitment date can be
removed or extended, a commitment date often ends in the animal being humanely euthanized if they
are not removed from the shelter environment.

like a bathroom. Treatment includes daily oral medications and biweekly medicated baths for at
least a 3 week period.
