These animals have a commitment date, meaning they are in critical need of placement due to severe
medical or behavioral challenges. Without intervention, they are at risk of humane euthanasia. While
there are times when an animal improves due to our interventions and the commitment date can be
removed or extended, a commitment date often ends in the animal being humanely euthanized if they
are not removed from the shelter environment.

have also begun supportive treatments, but this patient would benefit from more direct and intensive

has recently opened up and allowed interactions with staff. He really enjoys silvervine. We do believe
that once out of the shelter he will be able to show his true colors. He needs lots of time and
patience to be able to decompress. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and
become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.
UPDATE: This animal has shown improvement and is responding to interventions provided. The
commitment date has been removed for now however this animal would still benefit from foster,
rescue, or adoption.
