These animals have a commitment date, meaning they are in critical need of placement due to severe
medical or behavioral challenges. Without intervention, they are at risk of humane euthanasia. While
there are times when an animal improves due to our interventions and the commitment date can be
removed or extended, a commitment date often ends in the animal being humanely euthanized if they
are not removed from the shelter environment.

Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibody (CPMA), which is the first and only USDA-conditionally approved,
one-dose parvovirus treatment in dogs. This is an off-label use of this treatment, but preliminary
studies show that it may decrease the length of time of clinical signs. We have also begun
supportive treatments, but this patient would benefit from more direct and intensive care at a full
service clinic. Will need supportive care, isolation, and monitoring until approximately 9/10 (7 days
