These animals have a commitment date, meaning they are in critical need of placement due to severe
medical or behavioral challenges. Without intervention, they are at risk of humane euthanasia. While
there are times when an animal improves due to our interventions and the commitment date can be
removed or extended, a commitment date often ends in the animal being humanely euthanized if they
are not removed from the shelter environment.

This friend came into our care after being found abandoned in a box for an unknown amount of time.
He is very lethargic with a mild wound on his muzzle. We have taken radiographs and collected
urine/blood (results currently pending). He is getting supportive care at this time, but would benefit
from continued work-up and monitoring at a full service clinic. Diagnostics results can be provided to
interested paw partners once available. Placement needed by 1/7 at 3pm.

as cerebellar hypoplasia; it shouldn't get worse, but he may also not get better and will require some

Tails is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of extreme fear.
Per owner Tails is getting more anxious in the home with family and he swats and hisses at small
children. Tails is not doing well here at the shelter despite behavior staff trying their best efforts to
help him feel more comfortable. He is constantly hiding and avoiding from staff. Behavior team is
trying to put him in an office to see if that will help along with providing anti-anxiety medications. In
the past few days he has been in the office he has become increasingly more fearful. He freezes,
avoids, growls and swats at pointer when attempt to pet. He has urinated himself due to how scared
he is. He needs lots of time to be able to decompress outside of the stressful shelter environment.
This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social
and environmental changes. This animal needs placement by 1/7 by 3PM

he is unable to be handled by staff. He is swatting, tense, and biting at the pointers that staff are
using to interact with him. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more
comfortable with social and environmental changes.
