after being adopted from here as a young pup about four years ago. He recently came in as a

When he first arrived this time around, it was clear he hadn’t been getting much exercise, with

But Aurora didn’t stay shut down for long. With a little patience and kindness, she began to come
out of her shell. Once outside, she enjoyed her walk, taking in all the smells around her, and she
walks very nicely on leash. She’s in good physical shape and carries herself with a gentle
confidence once she feels safe.
This gorgeous girl has one blue eye and one brown eye—an eye-catching feature that perfectly
matches her unique personality. Aurora strikes a lovely balance between independence and
seeking comfort. As she warmed up, she would come over for pets and reassurance, leaning into
affection and quietly asking for love.
At around 7 years old, Aurora is spayed and still very much youthful. This is an age where many

Despite everything she’s endured, Delilah didn’t seem to show reactivity towards other dogs around
her or the dogs we passed. I found her sitting quietly in the back of her kennel — hurting, confused,
and unsure of why she’s suddenly here instead of in a home. While outside, she whimpered at
times, likely from pain and stress. The shelter environment is understandably overwhelming for her
right now.
In the play yard, Delilah was unsettled at first and even seemed defeated, but once she was able to
lay down, she seemed to find some comfort. That appears to be where she feels safest at the
moment — resting, quietly taking things in. She was a bit apprehensive at first but gently allowed
pets and showed just how loving she truly is.
